A stormy day stomp
It’s a right stormy day here in the cove with the waves crashing against the old harbour and the sea spray whipping up into the air. The seagulls are battling against the onshore wind and the fishing boats are safely moored up on the quay.
So you might be surprised when we say it’s a perfect day for a walk! But we don’t mean any ordinary walk. No, today’s a day to get wrapped up in gloves, scarves, waterproofs and wellies and have a stomp up Rocky Lane, along Beacon Drive and finally as far up St Agnes Beacon as you dare (hold on to little hands here!). Then a quick look around at the rain-lashed coast, and a run back down the hill to the safety of a warm fire and a mug of creamy hot chocolate while you’re drying out. As we said, perfect.
